A Nice Compromise

Woke up this morning and it is actually cold! We all had to put sweatshirts on and bundle up. Finally, I think the heat is gone.

Yesterday we went to the Ara Pacis Museum. It was designed by the architect, Richard Meier, and was built in 2006. (Yes, actually something modern in the city of Rome.) Right in the center of the museum is the Ara Pacis (alter of Peace) which is more than 2000 years old.

The museum is holding an exhibit on the fashion designer, Valentino. Andy, being an architect, and myself (once) working in fashion, it is always nice when the two come together. It is a nice compromise. Some photos of the Valentino exhibit:

Besides these gowns on display, they also had Valentino through the decades, starting from the 1960's, gowns that celebrities had worn, and sketches from the designer.
